Communicator at the National Council on Medical Ethics
Would you like to work as a communicator at the National Council on Medical Ethics? Do you have education and experience in communication and an interest in ethics and social issues? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
Your workday. Sweden's tomorrow.
The National Council on Medical Ethics is an independent and advisory body that addresses medical-ethical issues from a broad societal perspective. We live in a time of groundbreaking technological advancements that offer great opportunities for our lives and health, but the development also presents us with important ethical choices that require facts, knowledge, and analysis. Therefore, Smer monitors new technologies and methods in the healthcare sector that may pose medical-ethical challenges and follows societal developments and value shifts that may lead to new ethical positions. Smer is also tasked with informing and disseminating knowledge about medical-ethical issues.
We are looking for someone who can strengthen the council's communication efforts and increase the visibility of our activities in society. We offer tasks that require you to enjoy both operational work and planning communication. As a communicator with us, you will work on various assignments and projects carried out by the council and manage the updating and development of the website and social media.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Planning and implementing target group-adapted communication efforts, such as launching and disseminating the council's publications, and spreading knowledge about medical-ethical issues via Smer's website
- Writing articles, posts, and press releases
- Photographing and producing, editing, and captioning simpler films
- Following up and analyzing the outcomes of communication efforts
- Being a client to external suppliers and ensuring quality in various productions
- Working on updating and developing the website and social media
- Participating in the planning and implementation of meetings and seminars as well as external participation
- Conducting daily environmental monitoring

You need to have solid experience in web publishing and website development, as well as experience with social media. It is strongly meritorious if you have experience in communication work within healthcare or research. Furthermore, you have a very good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
Your qualities
As a communicator with us, it is important that you are good at planning and working in a structured manner. As a person, you are creative, solution-oriented, and flexible, while also being meticulous and having good judgment. Since the role involves many points of contact, you also need to be service-oriented and good at collaborating.
Other
The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period. A security review will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
